How do I know if I have the right replacement auger?

  • I have a Waterford Pellet Stove and the auger motor went out I bought a auger motor 1rpm clock wise. Now it is feeding to many pellets. I turn turn the stove to it's lowest setting and it still feeds to many pellets. Can someone tell me if it's the new auger motor or is it something else?

  • Hello
The Waterford does take a 1 RPM auger motor so if it is feeding too many pellets it could be a bad control panel. But it also could be there is not enough air to burn all the pellets so make sure the stove and venting is very clean. Blowing out the firebox with a compressor will ensure all the areas you cannot reach with a brush will be clean.
