Pellets smoldering after shut down

I have a king 5000 stove after shut down about 8 or 10 pellets fall into burn pot and smolder filling rec room with smoke. The chimney goes thru the wall then 90's up for 3' with a candy can on end could the wind blowing push the draft back into stove causing the smoke in the house?

Do you have an outside air kit? If would increase the draft, which would really help.
