Englander pellet stove 25-pdvc blower and lower auger will not shut off and top auger doesn't appear to turn.

  • Our 2005 Englander pellet stove was used for the first time this season in our reno house. My husband started it up on Sunday evening, everything started up fine, no issues. He went by a couple of times a day to feed it and check the ash. Wednesday afternoon when he arrived there were no flames in the firebox, but the pellets were glowing. He hit the off switch to start a shut down to cool it and clean it out. It appeared to start the shut down mode. He left and came back several hours later, to find that the blower was still on and the lower auger. He attempted to turn it off several times with no success. He finally unplugged it. Everytime we plug it up, the blower comes on and the lower auger...we have had no success trouble shooting. Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated! Also, attempted to do a hard reset, no change.

  • Sounds like a bad control panel. I also recommend a Tripp-Lite surge protector to protect a new control panel from the same fate as long as possible.
